Ramos Research Institute Announces Three Promotions to Junior Researcher

 

ITHACA, NEW YORK – May 23, 2024 – The Ramos Research Institute (RRI) is pleased to announce the promotion of three outstanding Research Assistants to the position of Junior Researcher. Jenna Boccher, Haley Dymek, and Noelle Puvak have demonstrated exceptional dedication, scholarly excellence, and commitment to the mission of RRI.

 

Jenna Boccher, is a rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in International Relations with minors in Latinx Studies and Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. Jenna's research has spanned topics such as the diplomatic repercussions of enforced disappearances in Chile and solutions for gun violence in Philadelphia. Her work at RRI focuses on the Hispanic and Latino populations in the US and their impacts in elections. Jenna's academic rigor and passion for advocacy are invaluable to our team.

 

Haley Dymek, a rising senior at American University majoring in Economics, has been a Supplemental Instructor for the course "Introduction to International Economics" and is a recipient of the American University Deans’ Scholarship. Her research interests lie in the economics of soft power and the intersection of culture and international relations. Haley's commitment to academic excellence and her innovative approach to research have significantly contributed to RRI's projects.

 

Noelle Puvak, is a rising junior at Occidental College, majoring in Diplomacy and World Affairs on a pre-law track. Her global upbringing and extensive international experience inform her research interests in legislative reform, environmental protection, and human development. Noelle's work at RRI has focused on legislative research and the impact of policy reform on social justice issues. Her diverse background and dedication to advocacy are essential assets to our research team.

 

These promotions reflect RRI's commitment to fostering the growth and development of our researchers. Jenna, Haley, and Noelle have shown remarkable potential and have contributed significantly to our research initiatives.
