Â
ITHACA, NEW YORK – January 13, 2025 — The Ramos Research Institute (RRI) is proud to announce the induction of its largest and most diverse cohort of interns for the Spring of 2025. Out of an exceptional pool of over 1,500 applicants, 16 talented individuals have been selected to join the Institute and work across seven groundbreaking projects. This cohort represents a wide range of academic disciplines, professional aspirations, and cultural perspectives, with members spanning from the U.S. coasts to Europe, and including undergraduates from freshmen to seniors.
These interns bring expertise in fields such as public policy, international relations, environmental studies, economics, and more. Their backgrounds reflect a commitment to addressing pressing societal challenges, including civic engagement, climate policy, human rights, and national security.
Each intern will contribute to RRI’s mission by collaborating on projects designed to foster innovative solutions and drive meaningful change. Highlights of their work will include research into voting behaviors, developing an innovative civic framework, cancel culture, sustainability, education policy, and global governance.
Executive Director Alejandro J. Ramos expressed his enthusiasm for the new cohort:"The energy and passion these young leaders bring to the table are truly inspiring. We are confident that their contributions will not only elevate the work of RRI but also shape their future roles as changemakers in public policy and beyond."
